Propane Heater Instructions:

This is a 30,000 BTU Blue Flame heater. It has a automatic blower and remote thermostat.

There is a propane tank box on the outside of the cabin. Members need only to connect their own 20 lb bottle of propane and follow the instructions on lighting the pilot.

In a totally un-scientific test, the heater raised the cabin temp 25 degrees in about an hour.

It's great if you just want to warm up around the unit, or set the thermostat to have it kick on late at night when you don't want to get up and stoke the fire. It will also be nice during chilly spring and fall weather were the fireplace would be too hot.

Instructions..

1. Connect propane tank to regulator (Outside in box) then open tank valve.

2. Make sure the red valve under the heater is in the "On" position.

3. On the top of the heater turn the knob to PILOT and press down for 15-30 seconds. While you continue to hold down the knob, press the igniter button. If the pilot lights continue to hold the knob down for 15 seconds.

4. Released the knob and turn to ON.. The main burner will light.

5. To turn off just turn the knob to OFF.

The blower is automatic and will come on in 3-5 minutes. It will also stay on until the unit cools down after you turn it off.

If you wish to use the remote Thermostat, move the switch on the Black Box under the heater to REMOTE.

On the remote unit (leave on the shelf by the digital clock) you can press the SET button until you reach the temp you would like to keep. (Just hold the set button down and the temp setting will rotate from 45 thru 99 degrees).

PLEASE REMEMBER TO MOVE THE SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION ON THE BLACK BOX TO SAVE THE BATTERIES WHEN YOU LEAVE.

*Note when you first light the heater the baffle will rattle until it heats up. (We will fix later).
